Students Do Not Need To Be Registered for
Academic Programs to Participate.
Pre-GED Connection
Provides introduction and basic knowledge for adult learners. It is used to introduce to students to the GED format and the necessary knowledge/skills to step up to GED Connection. Uses topical workbooks, video (from WNED-TV Channel 17) with teacher phone call support to work students through the program.
GED Connection
Video programs, workbooks and on-line activities (available) to make GED preparation easy for students with a variety of learning styles.
GED Online!
A web based instructional tool designed to improve achievement for students at TABE level 2 through adult. With more than 1,300 lessons and activities, teachers can focus students on the core academic skills commonly found on the GED and ACT ASSET standardized tests. A teletutor program customized for those with home computers and Internet access.
Students must be registered for an academic
class in our division to participate.
Workplace Essential Skills
WES teaches not just the skills but also the attitudes necessary to succeed at work. Reading, Writing, math, communication and problem solving are presented in the workplace using packets and videos.
Crossroads Cafe
An entertaining educational series for students needing to learn English.
SMART
A practical program to help people to learn how to balance the complexities of daily living and your job duties.
Madison Heights
These are video and workbooks for family literacy and adult education combined. Its powerful and dramatic videos are meaningful and help motivate family learning.
Learn To Read
Designed for adult readers. It has video lessons and easy to follow newsprint supplements.
