The Pathways to Success program provides developmental and college entry services at no cost to those students who wish to enter college but
need preparatory coursework to meet entry requirements. Jointly sponsored by Erie Community College
and the Buffalo Public Schools, "Pathways to Success" combines
the resources of both institutions to create value for our learning community.
Who is the program for?
People who would like to attend ECC but aren't ready academically.
People who need to improve their skills.
People who would like to obtain an associate degree in their chosen field of study.
What is the program?
Developmental Math and English courses to prepare students for college level courses.
GED preparation courses for those that need to graduate from High School.
English as a second language courses for those who need to improve their command of the English langauge before entering college.
An established link between BPS vocational continuing education courses and the corresponding ECC degree program.
College entry services provided by ECC.
Fast track enrollment at ECC to students who successfully complete the pathways program.
How much will the program cost?
Most services are free, allowing grants and student loans to be used for college courses.
Where and when are courses offered?
At over 18 sites in Buffalo and at Erie Community College.
Day and evening courses offered year round.
What are the classes like?
Instruction is designed to prepare you for entrance to the college.
Teachers are all NY State Department of Education certified.
