Course Description: A 2nd Class Stationary Engineer is the entry level operator within the Stationary Engineering Program. This licensing level allows the individual to operate a 175-horsepower boiler plant along with 150 tons of refrigeration under the supervision of a 1st Class Stationary Engineer and or a Chief Stationary Engineer.
Completion/Certificate: Upon completion of this course students will receive a certificate of completion from the instructor. Upon successfully passing the city exam, students are then able to apply for the City License for 2nd Class Stationary Engineer. Students will have the ability to seek employment in the field from various employers, apply for higher positions within their existing company as well as pursue a better employment opportunity with another employer.
