Course Description: A Chief Stationary Engineer is the highest-level operator within the stationary engineering program. Traditionally, there are fewer operators who achieve their Chief Stationary Engineer License as this level is treated as a management operator role with oversight of a large facility and crews of engineers of all levels. This licensing level allows the individual to operate an unlimited amount of boiler horsepower within a designated plant along with an unlimited number of tons of refrigeration.
Completion/Certificate: Upon completion of this course students will receive a certificate of completion from the instructor. Upon successfully passing the city exam, students are then able to apply for the City License for 2nd Class Stationary Engineer. Students will have the ability to seek employment in the field from various employers, apply for higher positions within their existing company as well as pursue a better employment opportunity with another employer.
