Course Description: This course will provide food preparation and management skills for those individuals interested in a career in the food industry. This course wil provide foundation-based coursework along with hands-on skills development in hot food preparation, baking, cooking, methods and ingredients of various cuisines and the skills of the cold kitchen.
Completion/Certificate: Upon completion of this course, a certificate is issued by the instructor. In addition, students who complete the course will also obtain the ServSafe Food Handler Certification, Students who complete this course may seek immediate employment in the field and/or further their education and training by entering a collegiate program in this area of study.
